The Clarity Brief is where I share what I’m actually seeing in small businesses; the patterns, the gaps, the questions that don’t have owners yet. If your business has somewhere between 15 and 75 people and you’re starting to feel like your IT picture is getting harder to read, this is written for you.

I’m Ron Maddon, Founder of RPM Computing. I’ve spent decades inside growing organizations: as an IT director, as an advisor, and as someone who had to translate technical risk into business decisions in real time. What I write here reflects what I’ve learned doing that work.

Short reads. Practical takeaways. No fluff. And yes, I do use AI to help write, to speed things along. I can and have written voluminous volumes over the years and can spot AI slop quickly. No, I am a real person with decades of experience. In 2023 I came up with my “AI acclerated, Human edited” tagline when I intentionally decided that I AI was useful but NOT a replacement for human editing and decision making. Every post here springs from my experience and observations, not a wish list of topics served up by ChatGPT. I truly hope you find value here, my goal is to speak to the right people, who need by skills, first here and eventually person to person.
